Good Morning everyone!

I hope we all have some wonderful recent or favorite finds to share. If you can share pictures please do, if not just tell us about them.

I don't have any new finds but I'm sure I can dig up a favorite find.

Okay,let's see those goodies...

Not my find but DH's -- he's never met a glass he didn't like (but he's met some I didn't care for!!! -- LOL!!!) I must admit that I prefer he buy them in sets of 4 or six or 8 -- or a straggler -- I'm not thrilled with sets of 3 or 5!

These are etched wine glasses -- don't know the age for sure but I think they're beauts.

Didn't pay much at an antique mall.

I have been MIA for a while, but finally have something to share. I found a pair of these chairs for a client on CL for his English Library inspired great room. They are Ethan Allen with embossed alligator leather. The price, $300 for the pair. If he had decided not to buy them, they would have ended up at my house. This picture is from the ad.

Now that is a chair I wouldn't mind having! Beautiful.

Pretty wine glasses -- folks here would be so.o.o.o disappointed at my glass collection -- jelly jars and wide mouthed pint canning jars. Just right for juice and iced tea.

My find for the week is actually a makeover of my homemade kitchen island. It ended up completely different than the idea I had going into the project. Big time failure! But this is what I ended up with with supplies on hand working for a week in the mid-90s heat.

My son made the basic table 20 years ago in shop class -- it was supposed to be a sofa table -- and he installed the tapered legs wrong on one side -- thus the original makeover was skirted and had a stick on floor tile top. This time I used on-hand floor underlayment. Only thing I had to purchase was the corner moulding. This will do till I can make something better early this winter.

This is used only as a landing area for keys, wallet, etc. No food prep. Small kitchen has black lowers and white upper cabinets. The backside of the island is open to hold the trash can and a small pot rack to hold my three most used sauce pans.

Sharon -- lovely chairs!

I think I would have KEPT them! And NEVER told the client about them -- LOL!

MLV -- what a great kitchen island -- especially since it is a memory as well -- like what you did with it!

MyLifeVacation1 - Nice re-do. That looks like a handy piece to have.

Sharon W - I love the upholstery of those chairs and what a great price.

Linderhof - Very pretty glasses. I love tableware of all kinds, but I agree that I prefer to collect in sets of at least four. I collected these glasses from eBay over time and it made me kind of crazy until I was able to put together a set of eight at a price I was willing to pay. There are reproductions available, but I don't think they come in cranberry.

linderhof,
OH my! I believe those fall under the category of Wedding glasses? Beautiful pattern! I love the Amber stems! I had a few in my day that were all clear in different sizes.
How elegant they will make any table!

Sharon,
Lucky client! I don't blame him for jumping at them! Great find!

MLV,
What a handy island to have! Hiding the trash can is such a noble job for that cute island to do for you! Nice look with black and white!

Graciepj,
Love the cranberry glass, just makes whatever goes inside look encased in cranberry ice! Very pretty!

As for me:
DH has been working on the 1st phase of our pantry, he took out the laundry sink, opened up the walls and moved plumbing (plus checking all existing) and did the electrical for lighting and pantry use. We needed an outlet put lower for garbage disposal as well.

The pantry will be tiled in the brown plank wood grain medium brown tile that is going in the whole house. Lots more work to do in this small space, but it will make the rest of the kitchen remodel seem easier! lol
Had to come back after assembling and resizing this photo instead of a long list of uploads.

Needless to say, I am excited at the progress, we have been working on my son and daughter's kitchens for about 8 months, and believe it or not, this 'mess' looks great at my house!

Oh my!!! such beautiful things!! I had to laugh at the jelly jars for glasses - Mine are ball canning jars and they are the perfect size!!!

LOVE LOVE those cranberry glasses - i have always loved that color of glasses and been thankful that I have no where to display them!! I'll have to admire from afar...

Christie's obsessions w/ decorator fabric is like my obsession w/ cottons for quilting fabrics...So, here is the fabric for my next quilt....I have one very special friend that will be the lucky recipient:
