Here's a recent small project that gives me pleasure to play with. I first saw it on Pinterest.
They are Holiday Candy Jars on candleholders that are changed for each holiday. I created them first for Halloween, then Christmas, and now Valentine's Day. I have everything on hand for the next Holiday, Easter.
The candleholders came from Wal Mart. The jars are old salsa jars that I painted the lids black. The wood finials came from Hobby Lobby which I painted black. The letters I order from Craftcuts.com and paint them. The rest you see is just changing the candy for each holiday and the ribbon for the bows.
Wow I just love that project Paintlady. So cute and so easy. Great inspiration. I will have to give that a try. Thanks for sharing. And I'm so glad to see you here again. Hope you stay around. And how is your sweet lil grandbaby doing? : )

With candy stations showing up at events and wedding receptions, this is a great way to decorate containers!
LOVE the looks you created that can be changed out with each holiday you choose! ... Easter with colorful eggs or traditional Spring colors too! Hummmm your idea has many possibilities!

How about an Advent Calendar? Would take a lot, but most of the days could be smaller jars placed around the larger ones, last one being a cookie jar or larger jar! You got me thinking!

Lilsophie, my granddaughter is doing great. She's 14 months old and running around everywhere. Thanks for asking. Hope you and your grands are well.
Mary Ruth, the possibilities are endless. I had not even thought of St. Patty's day!
MyLifeVacation1 the jars are just sitting on the candle posts. My DIL told me to use "Egg" for Easter which is what I did. The other option is to use varied wooden "C H R I S T I A N" symbols.
Ay, I place the candy in airtight containers once I change them out and hope to save them for the next season since this is not candy for eating, but decoration. If it doesn't keep well, then I'll toss it and buy new. I'm not a candy eating person. To keep people visiting from eating from the jars, I keep a bowl of the same candy placed nearby for those who wish to munch on it.
I love them. Do you have them pinned on Pinterest? I have been saving all of my inspiration pics on Pinterest instead of all over my computer as files & bookmarks. These would be a must add.
mmtsh, I do not have mine pinned. I got the inspiration from Pinterest. There are several versions of these already pinned there. I never pin my own stuff to Pinterest. I only Pin other's work. I love PINTEREST for inspiration.
One thing I noticed but didn't mention is that you can do a lot of looks and messages with just 3 of these! I recently checked out the dollar tree store in my area (had not gone in one for years) and they really do have a LOT of items in there to create something like this inexpensively!
