Kitchen is still a work in progress. But in between, I have also been working on some smaller projects. Thought I would share. They aren't earth shattering at all but I'm getting back into the groove a bit! Well, at least I think I am!

First - the before pic of the shed.

Still not completely finished but need to replace one mirror pane that broke while hanging the last shutter. And I want to get a couple of hanging plants for the rooster plant hangers. And Bri is going to make me a window box.

Then, either the birds or the squirrels decided they needed materials for their nests. Nothing like borrowing them from your neighbor!!! Grrr!

But with some paint, leftover fabric (some of you may recognize this fabric from YEARS ago!), an old linen napkin for the head rest and bottoms of 4 curtains...

The shed is 'darling' and beautiful! Loving the look! I am so glad Christie was able to lend a helping hand and add FUN! I have to do all my projects alone, no new GF's yet here that do DIY.

The chair!!! I thought you were going to turn it into a planter! Looked like a nest already! lol

BUT what you did with the chair is amazing!
I thought you were 'leaving' that house, you are having WAY too much fun! lol

So glad to hear from you and the pictures are wonderful! Keep them coming!

Catie - You are so right! If they hadn't destroyed the chairs, I don't know that I would've changed them at all. The rush seats were very comfortable to sit in.

Mary Ruth - LOL! It was so wonderful she came over to help me with this! We haven't done that in ages!! But now, I just go bug her at her work so we have been able to see each other a bit. I've missed her! Yes, the plan is still to sell the house! LOL Whenever I tell Bri about my projects, he asks if that project gets us closer to our goal or am I sure I'm still moving. I've tried explaining the importance of doing the things I'm doing and how it is going to help us reach our goal. I'm not sure he really understands what I'm saying though. Mars vs Venus! lol

Anneyland - Go ahead and borrow because I'm pretty sure I "lifted" that idea from someone else - probably even here on the board! But I'm getting older and the memory bank is getting younger so...I don't remember who.

Graciepj - I love to share when I have something to show. For the past few years, I've been slacking. It was that whole job thing - always got in my way of doing the things I wanted to do. Plus I think I was a tad burned out too from the years working on the MA house. My creativity went kaput and energy was nil.

Busyjo - It is nice doing projects with someone unless you are a control freak and/or like the solitude. I can be a bit of both. For the most part, my projects are done alone. And I have WAYYYY too many to do. I'm still waiting for the night fairies to come off strike and have this stuff done by the time I wake up in the morning. lol

My mind wandered to shopping for plants and I was rude as can be!!! Thank you everyone for your compliments. Both of these projects came out better than I thought they would and am excited to keep going now.

Tammy, I love how your projects turned out. What a cute idea, installing the mirror window and shutters on the shed. Just adorable! The chair is nice as well. I know what you mean about squirrels. though. I had a nice, large jute rug that we were using on our patio here in Texas. One morning I went to the patio to drink a cup of coffee, and the squirrels had literally ripped it to shreds. Frown Oh well. It could have been worse. I had a friend whose car wasn't starting. The squirrels had eaten the insulation on the spark plug wires. lol What are you gonna do??? I digress.

Congratulations on a beautiful result on your projects!

Great projects. I saw this morning a divided pane mirror at a garage sale....may have to go back tomorrow to see if it is still there -- I too have a shed ;-) Gee I think I saw some shutters there too. Thanks for the inspiration!

Lady50 - Thank you! I found a couple of dead squirrel carcasses up in the attic so I guess we're even. lol I didn't realize they could be so destructive so quickly.

MyLifeVacation - You are very welcome! That's why I participate - to give and receive inspiration and motivation. I haven't been participating as much as I used to but call it work and creative block. If you go back and the window with mirror panes is gone,I got the mirror panes at Walmart (6 in a box for like $10), strapping is very inexpensive and used F26 adhesive to apply mirror panes to the shed wall. I found the shutters at Brimfield Antique Flea Market many years ago but they do seem to be easy to find. Good luck and I hope if you do it, we'll see pics!Big Grin

Thank you Beau's Rose! The house is going to match! I'm sure it will throw everyone here off a bit as they are used to much subtler colors - like white! Lol But they already know not to expect the norm from me! Lol

Another FAB project by Tammy! So glad to see you back posting again like old times. You and Bella are two mega talented gals. 2 of the reasons that I was so drawn to this board almost 7 years ago. Love the shed and the color. The window/mirror idea is great. Keep the pics coming.

Replaced the broken mirror and found some petunias (I think that's what they are anyway).

Paintlady - Thank you so much! I know - I've been away for too long but so glad I've finally been accomplishing SOMETHING! lol We are so lucky you have joined and been such an active participant with us!!

GardeningGrandma - I keep finding myself looking out the kitchen window just to look at it again and again! Thank you!

Connie - I'm still alive and kicking! I was so very busy at work and just didn't have the energy or desire to do anything on my days off but go somewhere where I didn't have to look at everything that needed to be done! Yes, I found escapism!! lol

Catie - It's getting there!

Mary Ruth - I've done nothing new so I'm not sure how much creativity I'm having right now.

Christie - Big Grin I did get the post repainted - 2 coats and the peacocks are painted too. So tomorrow, they will go up. The only thing left at this point is to paint the upper rafters, inside ceiling and the windowbox.

Forgot to say - the peacock brackets are installed. Only thing left is to paint the exposed rafters and the ceiling in this area.

Love that shed!

I have 2 questions: what is "strapping" that you put between the mirro tiles for you window.

And...what did you use for the seat of your rocker after you took off the bird's nest?

I always look forward to your pictures. It helps me to get up and going on my projects.
