Miss LShower curtain is stressing me out!
I just bought a new fabric shower curtain. After I hung it up it looked shorter than the 72 inch length the package said it was. The fabric measures 65 inches.I tried lowering the curtain rod thinking it would solve the problem. In doing so I also removed part of the shower surround (wall) and paint! Grrrr! I put it back in it's original position to cover up the damage and it hangs 4 inches lower than the top of the tub. Should it cover more of the tub? Where r they getting 72 inches?

Mary Ruthreturn it if it is not what the package said it was. Are you sure you hung it where the top is where it is supposed to be?

conradYes..return it. 72 by 72 is pretty standard. No way a 65 inch is going to work.

CavinIMO most shower curtains are too short, even at 72". I either have them custom made or use unlined curtain panels at 84" which I shorten a couple of inches. Then I install a separate clear plastic liner behind it which is actually the functioning shower curtain. Another solution is to add a band of contrasting fabric at the bottom and trim the seam with a coordinating length of grosgrain ribbon. I dislike seeing the shower head above the curtain rod and prefer the curtains to fall to a more graceful length.

That's what I always do. And the liners can be replaced for about $5.

Always NestingReturn it. If it's a curtain you love, find out if there is another package and try again. It's possible there was an error in the sewing process.
