Well I posted this picture awhile ago asking if BM Audubon Russet would work in this room. After doing a large sample area I think it may be too bright. Does anyone have any other suggestions? No yellow as it was yellow a few years ago. Carpet is pretty neutral and room is open to a neutral 2 story foyer. Any color ideas? TIA!

Did you like Audubon Russet except for thinking it was too bright? I have BM Baked Terra Cotta below the chair rail in my living room. This picture shows it the best. Their Philadelphia Cream is above it.
Since 'orange' (wall) and blue (sofa) are complementary colors, if you liked the Russet, you may want to look for softer colors in that vein. .jpg) |

Pull a color for the walls from the pillows and/or art. View chips under the room's lighting conditions. It's difficult to suggest because I can't see either the pillows or art that closely. Have you looked into golds or camels?

Thanks for your responses! I guess I should mention I want earth tones. Thanks for the mock up though! I do like the rusty reds. Your baked terra cotta looks nice. Maybe I should try that. I tried BM Spanish Red and kinda liked that too. I wish I could find a color in between the AR and the SR. The pillows don't have to stay. Just the tables and denim couches. I don't think I want golds. I just painted over SW Blonde in the kitchen and changed to Nomadic Desert. I wish I wasn't so wishy washy!

Well, I DID see it and think you did a fine job! I'm no guru either but in my opinion you have the "mechanics" of it down...the more you do it the easier it gets. If you had seen my many first attempts you would feel MUCH better about yours...I am impressed, Christine. WHat program did you use to do that? |

Brennalynne, I took BrittanyDogMom's picture w/ her colour and played with it in my photo program colour mixing tool...the results are in the little squares to the left.
Are any of these along the lines of what you might be thinking?  |

What about trying the Aududon Russet in a cut formula? You can try 1/2 formula and then if it's too light add another 1/4 up to bring it up to 75% formula.

Here is a picture of my stairs. The color is BM Sienna Clay, which is a color before the BM Rust. My other wall color is BM Sandy Brown.

You are welcome...I know nothing about Macs but have heard often that they are the BEST for graphics. I use a $35 program called Magix. When I get rich I am going to get the real Photoshop...but for now I haven't even learned all that Magix will do. |

How about using SW Latte which is one shade darker than Nomadic Desert? Or if you want an even darker color...SW Hopsack.......

Hi can anyone do a mock up for my living room. and or an accent wall with the fireplace. Also i'm painting the outside of my house this summer, i'll probably have to buy the paint by pay days. It's wood can you tell me what is the best paint to use, i'm thinking of doing it in a beige color, with with brown shirting,i've seen some in my park but some have more of a yellow tinge to it, i want beige like a medium tan, where can i get samples? It's going to be a big expense i have a double wide, and i want to get it right the first time.

 I thought I wanted color but maybe Latte would be nice. If I did rust/red on bottom would Latte be okay on top of chair rail? All I know is I have do do something soon. I hate having 4 different colors on the walls! |
