In the last issue to come in the mail (can't remember if it was May or June) anyway they had a feature on female Olympic gold medalists. I enjoyed this very much as DH as sculpted two of these women

on this page is Joan Benoit who won the first women's marathon in 1984. She is from our town and her bronze sculpture is in the center of town.

the sculpture of Nadia Comenici was a gift from DH to the Romanian nation. I understand they removed it from sports museum there after she defected. But anyway we had a really enjoyable time with the Romanian ambassador who drove to Maine to pick it up! Although her page says the sculpture is bronze it is not as that would be quite a pricey gift.

Nadia Comaneci now lives here in Norman with her husband, Bart Conner, the US medalist. They have a gymnastics center here

Beautiful work. I love the n*u*d*e your husband sculpted.it has a n Art Nouveau feel....love that period of art.

Nadia turned into a very attractive lady.
