Happy Monday and Happy Presidents Day. I hope you will all join in our weekly game of Show n' Tell. Please share pictures or just tell us about any great treasures you've found.

No shopping for me but I'm looking forward to seeing all of yours.

Okay, let's get started Smile

Happy MMF! I have 2 finds today. The first is some free time! My sis retired so I have help with Mom and Dad. It's been a rough year!

I found a quilt and sham for my bedroom redo. On a lark, I looked at bedding at Target. Just for ideas, not to buy. Could not pass this up. Color is perfect! And yes, I'm teasing!!!

Great find, Meldin, plus I'm happy that you have some help with your parents. I know you will treasure your free time all the more since you haven't had much of it lately.

I bought these at Trader Joe's last week, but I kept forgetting to take a picture. Wouldn't you know it, we had a warm day, so now the tulips are overblown and will have to go out with the trash tomorrow. I did enjoy them for almost five days, though.

Gracie, those are beautiful and they still look good to me. Can you keep the bulbs so they'll re-bloom next year? It's too warm here in Southern California for us but they say you can keep them in the fridge. I've never tried it so I don't know if that really works or not.

I bought them as cut flowers, so no bulbs to salvage, unfortunately, but thanks for the idea.

Skyler, the process has just begun. The bedroom redo means THREE rooms to be done! Stay tuned for threads to start. I'm stepping outside of my box, so I'll need help!

Gracie, you are so sweet! My time with the 'rents has been a blessing, but free time is welcome too. I did see in last week's MMF where you asked about my plaid room. I'll post some pics I already have. I'd take new more current ones, but right now it is home to a train setup for the GS's who are with me this week and the tables have been stripped bare. Not good decor, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

I love the tulips, too! Can't wait for spring!!!

Happy Monday!
I read your 'Show n' Tell' and read it so fast after reading the weather predictions for the NE and thought it read 'SNOW n' Tell'! LOL

Meldin!
Free time, yippee! That is wonderful you will now have more help!

Oh a tease of things to come! Smile What GREAT prices! That would motivate me for bedroom redo! Can't wait to see! And you are stretching 'outside of the box'... what a tease!

Gracie,
What beautiful color! You did enjoy them for a whole 5 days! You got a nice taste of Spring!

AS for ME:
Nothing really new to show this week, spending more time outside and we bought a few new plants and DH is nice enough to move them around for me to see where they look best.

I love seeing everyone's new finds!
Thanks Skyler for your thoughtful MMF's post for us! Smile

Meldin, Free time!! What a blessing! Looking forward to your plaid room and the 3 rooms!

Gracie, lovely tulips. My valentine flowers are on their last legs too, Frown

I found this cute Winter Garden Tea Set at GdWl, $12.75 w/ senior discount.

Since tea is my drink of choice, I am drawn to tea pots. I also have been looking for something to use in my curio cabinet between Christmas and Easter. I will post that picture after this one.

Candy

Oh Meldin, your a hoot. Now lets see that plaid room please.

Christmas Candy~ great tea set. Love the cardinals. My dh collects cardinals, so the grands always know what to buy him.

Graciepj! love the tulips. Can't wait until mine burst forth from the earth. Have daffodils, hyacinth, and crocus all up. One bloom on the daffs so far.

No find for me this week.

Well ok, dd came over and made me some curtains for the windows and door in the kitchen. Used some lovely fabric that was gifted to me by one of our sweet members here at HGTV boards.

Oh forgot to add, this pic was taken at night so everything looks darker than it is. Especially the wall paint. It is actually a medium cream color. Oh well, you get the umm drift...

CaraRose, how nice that you have a talented daughter. I'm sure having her involved makes your curtains doubly special.

Boolovespink, that's a whopper of a piece with great storage. Where and how will you be using it?

So a clean up and small fix up and you can re-sell so that you can get what you WANT for your place!

Very traditional piece.

I agree. If I had any DIY expertise, I would grab a few things off the curb.

Graciepj, yes indeed. I happen to have two talented daughters and my son isn't bad either!!

And my dh can do just about any remodeling we need done and also is handy with wood working and crafts.

So I am indeed blessed. I can bounce things off both dd's and always get good results. My son has much different taste than I do. Although I am not fond of his *style* and he is not of mine, we can get good ideas from each other. He is single and in divinity school so he has little money to make his apartment livable. But he tries.

I decorated his first apartment and boy what a time I had with black everything and all modern, with glass and metal. But it looked great...still not my style. LOL

You are lucky indeed to have a talented family. I remember when you were pulling together the furnishings for your son's first apartment. I admired how quickly you created your plan and found the pieces to complete it.
