See the very soft green that the boaard is in (like in the "topic starter" section? I would love to paint my bedroom that color.

Anyone know something similar.

It's green on my monitor and I'd describe it as a pale sage. You could see if the paint store would go to HGTV site and give you suggestions. Do bring several chips home to see how the light in the room affects them, then test it on some larger boards.

I have a similar green on my walls in my public rooms in my Florida house. It is not as quiet, so I would check the antiqued colors (greyed down a bit) I have Valspar Laura Ashley color pale Jade 1. When comparing the two now that I have posted this, my sample is a bit more green and more intense.

I think the top color of these two looks close to what I see on my monitor. And there is more blue on the page than in these samples.

On my monitor it looks like it has just a titch of blue.

Check SW 6477 Tidewater. Its the second color on strip 69. The lighter color is SW 6476.

Your color might be a 1/2 point between the two colors. The SW clerk can MIX a CTG (Color-To-Go) sample in that halfway point.

BTW: Happened to have the chip right here as DD just picked it for her new appt.

Try BM Palladian Blue. It's a bluish green that looks like the board background on my monitor.

Christy, I see that color but one shade lighter.

BM Gray Cashmere (2138-60) or Gray Lake (2138-70) on the actual fan deck look very similar to the color on my screen. They are kind of pale, misty, green-grays.

Ohhh...thanks everyone! Many of those colors are very close.

Ben Moore "Bath Salts" is very close in my eye.

I'm going to check out BM Gray Chasmere and Gray Lake too.

I looked at SW Tidewater and i think it's deeper blue...but really pretty!

As I was looking through the SW deck I found "Opaline" SW6189 on #28. It looks very close.

I think I need to get out there and get some samples!

Is it normal to obsess over shades of color that vary about a nanosecond between each other?

I am liking that Gray lake! Nice and soft, not loud...??

Here are a few clips of the colors you mentioned. I also included 'Filmy Green' because it was next to Opaline on the color strip.
All these are very nice and serene.

Great idea to get samples, BECAUSE the light coming into your room WILL change this color and how it appears in your home!

Obsess over color? NAH, a few hours searching and thinking of a color, then trying the samples at home is so much easier than repainting the room a few times! (and cheaper!) And besides, we were posting at the same time in the wee hours last night/this AM so I guess I was obsessing too! lol

I bought a sample size of the color I wanted and painted a large square on a few walls with different sun exposures, you can use one piece of poster board and carry it around. Helped me choose the color and I knew I would love it once it was up.

Funny thing, I ended up liking the color that Christie found, Gray Lake. I am going to try a sample of that color, it looks like my walls at dusk or on a cloudy day like today, and I like the soothing effect it has. This 'study' might have changed my mind about my wall color!!!

Yes, but only for those of us who frequent home decor forums!

I think the SW6190 Filmy Green that Mary Ruth posted is perfect, especially when you are painting a large expanse of wall. Not too bright and it's soft and serene. Wouldn't do flat though, maybe eggshell.

It is pretty, but keep in mind (and I'm sure you already know this) that it could look completely different in your room.

Do you have bedding and accessories that will go with it?? The reason I ask is that speaking from experience, it's difficult to go find things to match paint color, rather than the other way around.
