I am starting tomorrow on my kitchen cabinets, hubby is going out of town all week!!!!! I went to Benjamin Moore and got several swatches. The one that I really like is Cloud White. I even bought a sample. I have turned my kitchen upside down and cannot find the swatch or even the sample bottle.
I am going to post a picture of my kitchen and if anyone has used Cloud White, how do you think it would look in my kitchen????

Hi Laura- Please post pics when you are finished because I am going to paint my cabinets white in the next few weeks and it looks like you have the same counter top that I have. I can't wait to finish my cabinets. I have chosen Waverly Classics Cafe' Cream. Sorry I can't help with your dilema.
hmmmm could you do it on a spot on the inside of the door somewhere, i'm sure you know this but sand them lighty with really fine sand paper. it will just make them look dusty looking and brush away. maybe pic can do a mock up for you.
I just used this color on a client's kitchen cabinets, and we painted the wall BM HC32, Sheffield White. The granite is similar to yours. I don't have a picture of it yet, as we're in the process of putting it back together. Will post one next Wednesday when I'm back over there.
Anyway, ours turned out wonderful, and I'm sure will too.

Your cabinets should be really beautiful painted white. They will be lovely with the white trim. What color are your kitchen walls? That's a nice gold/tan.

HI Laura, I have the exact cabinets and I also HATE them. What was I thinking 16 years ago!! I can`t even blame it on the eighties!! All because I wanted light cabinets...UGH! Pickled does not hold up. I wish I could talk my husband into painting them, but he is pretty stubborn. How did you prep them for paint and is there a special kind of paint to go over the wood?
Painting cabinets is a lot of hard work but so worth it. I have started on my laundry room which has 12 doors and 2 drawers.
I will post a picture of one of the doors that only has one coat of paint.
I started out by sanding them and then priming. My paint guy talked me into buying Zinsser Primer, Shellac Based and it is working great. I then lightly sanded the primer. I then have only put on one coat of the paint. I chose Alabaster because Cloud White was just to white. I am using an oil based paint to paint the cabinets with.
My walls are paint Cafe Au Lait (I think). I found the color at Lowes and I cannot find the card anywhere.
I am also filling in one of the screw holes because I want knobs instead of handles on the doors.
Here is the pic

your work looks great. I painted our cabinets when new with an oil based. It was VALSPAR paint. It yellowed within 3 days, and made a horrendus mess. Had to prime & repaint. I hope this doen't happen to you. I will never use that stuff again. Cabinets are difficult enough the first time, but twince is torture. Good color choice. When I repainted I painted ULTRA PURE WHITE by Behr, and have regretted it, There too darn white, lol.
Thanks Boo, painting cabinets is torture. I actually am enjoying doing it but it sure is slow work. I have painted one coat on all 12 doors and 2 drawers and now am waiting until I can paint another coat.
My paint guy guaranteed that the oil based paint will not yellow. I buy all my paint at Farrell Calhoun.
I could not go to white because of my granite countertops. Plus, I just didn't want bright white. I might do a light glaze on the kitchen cabinets but not on the laundry room or half bath cabinets.
I will post before and after pictures once I get done!!!!!!
