Recently I have been reading about Bunny Mellon, who is 102 and immensely wealthy. also a horticulturist and great friend of Jackie O.

Decided to read about her on the internet and found this picture of a decoration in her kitchen.

It always amazes me that an artist can do this kind of painting. Can you imagine the patience?

We have a consignment shop nearby that is on a corner. The corner wall is brick. I have always thought that they should paint a trompe l'oeil series of rooms on that wall.

The Trompe L'oeil is a wonderful study in shadows and perspectives! There is not much distortion.

And the room, I sure would LOVE a room to put together items for the house. I would consider this a studio!

Georgeous rendering LOS. Such detail. The monkey ball made me grin as we have lots of those in our general area. BTW, for those unfamiliar with them, here's a definition...

(n.) Nickname of the seed pods produced by sugar maple (Acer saccharum) trees (Liquidambar styraciflua, according to other sources). When ripe, these hard, spiky green balls are about the size of ping pong balls, and make excellent, abundant projectile ammo.
