We decided to have our ceramic floors torn up in the entry hall, kitchen, eating area and powder room....and solid wood put down.
then we decided to do the laundry room,
then decided to paint the banisters on the stairs, then while we're at it, while they're taking up the toilet in the powder room....we may as well repaint the powder room.... then as long as we're repainting the room, lets just get new towel racks and bath tissue holder.... well if we're doing THAT...we have to get new towels and rugs....*sigh*

Hi Just Josie..... I don't stop by often but was thrilled to see that you still participate here.
I'd love to see photos of some of those projects.
I understand the domino effect when "updating". Once a project is completed, everything around it seems "to request" do-over.

It does seem that way although subtle changes can make quite a difference. We are putting new flooring in my MIL's house and our small reno is growing. Hope to see pictures of yours.
Definitely!!! Our tv is on it's way out (an old floor model) Hubby just ordered a flat screen so we need a stand. Well, if I'm buying a stand....and here it starts, lol
We call a similar event a "MAW", "might as well". While you are repairing one item/area, you realize it would be a good time to replace something adjacent to it, and on, and on..it goes. I think it happens to everyone.
We just this minute finished ripping the 20 year old carpet out of the bathroom. Yes, I said bathroom. Don't judge.
We're putting in bamboo and the test layout made the rest look...well...20 years old. I have to put on my blinders, because the budget doesn't allow for anything more than a new paint job. At least it won't be gross.
