After falling completely in love with some of the awe-inspiring book themes people have been painting on their stairs, I started searching for other literary décor ideas. From bookcases to table linens, you can bask in your love of books, and create a pretty unique décor.

Other Book-Inspired Décor

I had seen the names of books and authors painted on stair risers; however, Juniper Books in Boulder, Colorado did it a little different. The good folks there used actual book spines to cover the stair risers, making the steps look like actual crammed bookshelves.

Anthropologie sells a teak wood cheese-cutting block that looks like a wooden book. As I love both cheese and books, this is one of my favorites. They also offer a Literary Correspondence Napkin set that features unique script that has been screen-printed onto a sateen napkin.

Some other great living and kitchen items include Urban Outfitter’ Reclaimed Wood Card Catalog Shelf that looks weathered and old and just like the card catalogs from back in the library-day. Or how about Kitchen Sink Dramas which offers tea towels and aprons printed with the works of Oscar Wilde, O Henry, Saki, D H Lawrence, and Socrates? Also in on the trend is Nordstrom with an offer of porcelain and stainless steel Moby **** and Sleepy Hollow-inspired bottle stoppers.

There are lots more you can find online by simply doing a search for ‘literary décor’.
