Tomorrow is the BIG DAY - nearly 100 homes participating in our community sale. Hoping to move my still useable items into new homes AND have time to shop for a coffee table!
Well folks - I got up and put the stuff out at 8. Didn't have even a nibble until after 9, but we are quite far back and the neighborhood is large.
I told DH that I would sit out there until the stuff sold or 10:00, and am happy to report that the two biggest pieces sold. The pretty blue dresser and a second small chest both sold by 10:00, so I am happy with the results. A few small items sold and I still had time to shop
One of the sales was at the most beautiful home I have ever seen. There were pieces inside (downsizing/living estate sale) and oh my - I'm still speechless. Didn't even go past the front room and I would buy that house in a heartbeat.
Bought two paintings. A small one of an outhouse (for the bath) - just because it was cute - and a large landscape. Spent less money than I earned, so all in all it was a good day!This message has been edited. Last edited by: junk collector,
