For many years we had an artifical tree that reached the ceiling -- no room for a topper. Last year and this year we got a real tree -- but alas, no topper! I don't like new - prefer vintage. I found this on ebay, made a bid and was surprised to be the high bidder (because I thought she would go for more) -- she came today. She's from the 60's, is German, has a real velvet gown and has a wax face.

What a sweet angel. Glad you got her to give her a good home.

That's a lovely tree topper, Martha! Will you be using it this year on your tree?

I've never had an expensive or particularly wonderful tree topper. The one we bought for our first tree 46 years ago is an inexpensive angel I still have. I also have a rustic angel that was a gift from my daughter years ago. I treasure both of these altho use them in vignettes or just as decorations, not tree toppers. Another is a snowflake I bought on sale after Christmas a few years ago which I have used on my tall tree but don't have a good pic of it. This year my little white tree doesn't even have a real topper as it has a light on the top flimsy branch. So I just hung a pretty angel decoration as high as I could. I'll take some pics and post later.

Hope others post their tree toppers - I might be becoming inspired to perhaps buy or make a nicer one after seeing yours.

Yes, Joy, she's on our tree this year. The topper that we did use ages and ages ago -- a star -- DD wanted and since it was part of her childhood that was fine with me. I'd rather give things now than wait.

So the angel is "new" and should grace our trees for years to come . . . I am now determined to have real trees every year -- it was fun getting and the smell is heavenly -- even though it drinks a quart of water a day!

She is a beautiful angel Linderhof. I love to shop E-bay but rarely am I the highest bidder.

Here is mine although I use her on a table this year. I bought her years ago in Pigeon Forge, TN. If you ever have a chance, visit Pigeon Forge at Christmas. The Christmas Shops and the Shows are wonderful.
