Found these curtain panels on amazon and really like them.

But would they look good with the pillows I have on the couches?

Ok I know I spelled "curatins" wrong, and it should be curtains. And I know I'm not a "regular" on here, but I'm not the best at seeing what does and doesn't look good, so I'd appreciate any advice.

I like the curtains and run of the mill pillows aren't usually that expensive. They look like they might play well together, but if not, would you consider different pillows? Guess it depends on the quality of your pillows and their origin. Check the return policy on the curtains if you decide they aren't going to work.

I love your panels! I'm assuming you selected the plum color b/c that's what came up.

Couldn't see the 1 pillow in the dark photo too well. (Clicked on the arrows but the frame didn't advance to any add'l shots.) The color looks somewhat similar plus it appears to have a fairly similar, bold print. Panel leaves and pillow flowers?

Although the color looks similar, I'd be very surprised, if you happened to match it. Not that everything must be matchy-matchy but to me, it would fall into the close but no cigar rule - not that any rules exist, BTW. That is, it might appear that you attempted to match the color but failed.

If/when you receive the new panels, why not take 1 down to a fabric store and purchase a few small quantities of upholstery fabric. Don't know if you sew but pillows are incredibly easy and often minimal sewing. (Simple patterns/info s/b free and readily available online.)

Unless you need them elsewhere, you could simply recover your existing pillow forms. Or, pick up a few inexpensive pillow forms at the fabric store in various shapes, if you like. After you purchase everything, if you don't have time or don't care to do the sewing, I've heard that dry cleaners typically have someone who will do very simple sewing jobs, inexpensively.

WRT the colors/prints to buy, I'd select several, including a solid, possibly a stripe plus another print - maybe a different type of print than your panels, e.g. paisley? Whatever you like - only your opinion's important. Do you have another accent color in the room? Besides your neutral(s), I'd use another accent color and look for prints in all 3 colors, i.e. the 2 accents plus your neutral.

If they were my windows, I'd hang the panels as high as possible, with the bottome barely skimming the floor. Would also remove the table in the window to show off the fabrics. (If you need a table by the chair, could the chair move closer to window, with the lamp also reversed to allow room for something to hold a drink or whatever on the other side? Or, can the chair come out a little from the window, too?)

P.S. If you do purchase fabric, be sure to preshrink it (wash & dry once, plus iron) before using it for your project. BTW, I apologize for the sewing info, if you're a sewer.

Thank you so much for your input! The color of the panels should have been the "serra" color; I guess I copy and pasted the wrong color. I think I will purchase the panels and decide when I get them. I just picked out the fabric for the pillows and had them made, so I probably won't redo them. I love the idea of changing up the furnitute, too.

Also, the prints on the pillows are a redish paisley. Any recommendations on another color for pillows?

Looks like your paisley color will work well with the terra color. I actually prefer the terra panel, myself. If I were you, I would pick up both the taupe and reddish colors from the terra panel and use them in my pillows. In addition, I'd select another accent color, too.

Was trying to figure out your wall color when I posted earlier. Is the room beige? Light gold? Not suggesting that you must paint but you'll want to make certain all of your color choices harmonize, IMHO. I also see white trim and a stone/off white/very light grey(?) chair. Does the adjacent room have blue paint?

For your last color, if you want one, I'd consider picking up that blue to create and/or enhance the flow between the rooms. It appears similar to the background behind the panels on amazon.com so it's probably going to work well. (Not that we must copy their photo.)

So, depending on how many pillows you want/need, I'd get them in this order:
1. solids in the reddish color plus a solid or two in the taupe and last color (blue?)
2. striped pillows incorporating (hopefully) all 3 colors, or 4 if you include your neutral
3. another print, if you want one, incorporating all the colors

Don't know how many paisleys you ordered or how much seating you have. Obviously, you can vary the amounts depending on that. In addition, I would get a variety of sizes, e.g. a couple of larger ones plus a roll (or two, if necessary) and a couple of small neck/low back pillows.

Besides the pillows, I would also pick up the colors in your accessories, e.g. a throw, a few vases, etc.

If you have a chance, please send us a few photos of your completed room. I'm sure everyone here would love to see it!

P.S. Don't know if you plan to paint at some point in the future. If it were my room and I wanted to stay neutral, I would consider the panel's taupe or a lighter version of it. Would also consider an accent wall in one of the other colors. JMHO.

Thanks for your help blueday. I do not have a blue wall. All my walls are painted in a light brownish color. I did buy the panels and are excited to see how they'll turn out. I'm also on a hunt for pillows. I have the same pillow on my couch and loveseat, but agree I need some different types/colors.
I do appreciate your input. and it has given me lots of ideas! I'm on a mission.

Emma, that's too funny! It must be the photo's light/exposure making the end of that wall appear blue to me. Well, IIRC, the blue accent was only an example. Sorry about that -

Anyway, glad to hear you're working on everything. Hope you don't mind a bit of Monday a.m. quarterbacking - as a suggestion for you (and possibly others in cyberspace), it's a good idea to purchase something like the drapes or rug or main fabric first and then, if possible, take either the item or a sample along with you when shopping for additional fabrics and accessories. An upholstery fabric sample is another example of something to bring along.

Sounds like you might have gotten a tad ahead of yourself, if you saw/ordered the panels online and then immediately had pillows made, before the panels arrived. Don't know for sure but it's merely a reminder. We all get excited working on our projects - it's fun!

So, take your time and get what you truly want and/or what works well with your other items. You'll probably find it's cheaper that way, too.

Please share a photo or two, if possible - when you complete your room!
