Hello, all.

Wondering how you'd approach decorating this space.
I have lots of artwork I want to incorporate. I'm tempted to leave the walls white and 'paper' them with the art, like a gallery. But I think color will it that much more dramatic.

Three of the large pieces have either red, green, teal or yellow in them. Then an additional three have gray, cream, and black in them. I have a handful of smaller pieces that have blue, gray or red in them.

I am open to furniture suggestions as I have none, except for two bar stools.
Advice would be appreciated.

Pics attached. The door in the living room leads to the terrace.

It sounds like you have lots of wonderful, colorful art. In that case, I would be inclined to keep all of the furniture black (or Espresso), neutral walls and let the art make the impact. Please post pics of your art, etc. I'm sure its going to be spectacular. Good luck!

Wow, I LOVE your space! That brick wall is amazing! You've got kind of a loft thing going on. In keeping with that, I'd hang your art gallery style against white walls. Classic loft style!

Do everything you can to show off that awsome brick wall. Three down lights or up lights would really enhance it. I would not put the sofa on that wall. I take it that is not your furniture since you said you only have two bar stools. What kind of furniture do you like. Please show us your artwork. I like this picture with the chairs and art on the brick wall.

I don't work well from pics. Can you send me a plane ticket so I can visually take in that fantastic brick wall? Seriously, you are going to have fun decorating. I like the concept of papering with art, but that space seems to scream for restraint and minimalism.

PS: Love the dining set.

Check out nearby galleries. Although some use white walls, many use gray, taupe or even black.
I saw one Chicago apartment on "Homes Across America" that had a muted apple green on the walls with tons of art. It looked fabulous.

You may want to choose your furnishings first and then decide what you want for wall color. One suggestion is that you use a highly pigmented paint no matter what color you choose. The more pigment, the more depth of color you will get.

i would treat your space like a gallery, find the wall where the painting will work best, make sure it's lit for viewing. you have a wonderful space. i guess everyone is flying to your condo for a visit.
