Here is my china cabinet that I have been working on. (Thanks to inspiration from paintlady) This is not a great picture but I wanted to post it so you could see how it is coming along. As you can tell, the finish is not dry, the door is not on and the glass shelves and the glass on the doors are not in. This is the top part of the cabinet. I will take more pics when it is on the hutch and the doors are put in.

Yeah, yeah, yeah!! We're rocking now!! That looks awesome. Perfect choice of paper for your cabinet. I have the same paper to use somewhere. I love it. Very classy looking. Nice job! Can't wait to see it with your things in it. Thanks for updating us.

Thank you paintlady. I'm so excited. I cannot wait to get the door and glass in it and get it into the house. I'm so happy with the way it turned out. Thanks so much for the inspiration and the help!

I'm going to put some pictures and some plates in it. The plates I am planning to put in it are toile. I'm hoping it won't be too busy. If it does, then I will get some black and white simple ones.

4m, you have done a great job on that! I love the paper backing. You and paintlady are about to cause me to try my hand at painting an old stereo cabinet black, too.

Thanks to both of you for posting the photos! Y'all make it seem easier than it will likely be for me.

Please don't go with black and white simple ones. I think you need to see how yours will look and you may be able to layer them. Maybe some solid colors like red or gold or green or cobalt blue. I don't know what your colors are, but this paper will work fine. It looks lovely. You may even wish to overlay plates like a red dinner plate with a black/cream toile dessert plate. Or even a cream colored charger with a black toile salad plate. You get the idea. Be creative and don't let the design of the backdrop deter you. It's not what everyone else has, and that's a good and interesting thing. Smile Good luck and keep us posted.

OK, that does give me some ideas paintlady. The plates that I want to put in it are red, and blue toile plates....different patterns. I will see how it looks.

ivy, it really was not that bad although painting it has taken me a while....but I have 4 children and could not devote a lot of time each day to it so it took me longer. Its really not hard to do.

Thank you annie.

It came out great. Once you get it all put together just play with it until you get it the way you like. Don't just settle for plain dishes when you can make yours work. Love the paper you picked.

Man I had an optical illusion with this. It's obvious from your text that this is the back of the cabinet but when I looked at the picture I saw it as a front covering! I love the design on the paper and think this cabinet is going to be very striking looking when you get project completed. Good Work!

LOL Lady....thats funny. I promise that in real life it does not look that way. Its busy but I really really love how it has turned out. I'm working on putting it in the house with the hutch but I have to replace a glass I broke that goes on one of the doors. Thanks for the complements.

Thank you Donna. I'm putting this cabinet in my living room and I have some red and some blue accents in the room. My toile plates are those colors so I am hoping that they will look good with this cabinet. I can't wait to see how everything comes together.
