Trying to get back to the boards - so busy these days....

The counter tops were installed yesterday. It looks fabulous! Plus the backsplash tile we ordered was delivered.

(please excuse all the construction mess in the photos)

pic #2 - sink area. Cannot even begin to tell you how happy I am with this space! Look at all that countertop/prep space I get next to the sink Smile and directly across from the fridge!

The foyer was also tiled. Still waiting for trim to be put back in place, but such an improvement. Laundry room (entry from garage) was also tile. soooooooooo nice!

I'll be needing new rugs!

So we still have a long way to go, but the stove should be delivered on Monday and the backsplash will be put in place Mon/Tues.

Mostly I want my dishwasher back. I cannot stand not having running water in the kitchen. Not doing well having to go through doors to fill the coffee pot!

I am allowed to start putting things back though, so it is back to work for me!

Junk Collector-your space is coming along amazingly...I'm so jealous. And that is pretty darn clean for "construction mess"!!! I love your choices so far.

In the first few days of the project I came home and found what I considered to be an absolutely inexcusable mess. Period. I grew up in a construction zone, so no, I wasn't over-reacting! Plus our garage door was broken (leaving the house unsecured).

Contractor received a lecture you would not believe and the house has been left "clean" ever since.

This reminds me of a story my hubby told me last week. We live in OH so last weeks temps were maybe in the 40s? A guy my hubby works with is getting an addition added onto his house, they remove the outer wall, and leave for the day. Left the side of the house wide open!!! Unbelievable, there are just no words.
