I bought some red plates at walmart, they are hard plastic I assume they are melamine,it does not say. They are very lightweight. I want to hang them in my kitchen. What can I use to attach to the back of them?? I thought of the command strips but would they hold them firmly in place?? Any other suggestions would be appreciated. I live in apt so I don't want to make many nail holes if I can help it. Thanks!

Here's how one gal did it: http://decortoadore.blogspot.c...-wall-of-plates.html She hung up regular china plates, so her jerry-rigged system should work well with your melamine plates. This message has been edited. Last edited by: aychihuahua,

The Command products work well for me. I use them to hang most things. Just be sure to follow the instructions exactly.

I hang small china plates by hot glue gunning a tab from a beer or soda can to the back of the plate. Have had great success with doing this. However that does not answer the question of the nail holes. I suppose you could put the glob of hot glue on the wall, then just stick the plate to the glob. No hole, no mess. Worth a try.

No hole till you pull it off! I don't think I would try this one...sorry Emily (LOS). The command hangers for pictures are probably your best bet. **Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...it's about learning to dance in the rain**

OH o.k. I was thinking use the sticky strips thats what was confusing me, use the hooks by command now that makes sense.Which one would you use?? I would say these plates don't even weigh 1 pound. Thanks! This message has been edited. Last edited by: perplexed,

Check at HL craft store in the picture framing section. There is a round disc with a metal hook on it. You wet the adhesive back, wait a couple of minutes and stick on plate. Wait over night to dry and then you can hang the plate. Very simple and easy. The yellow disc come in two or three different sizes also. ~Like sands through the hourglass ~So are the days of our lives

Great idea ,I don't have a hobby lobby here. I think I will be getting the sticky command strips. These plates are very light in weight.
