Well, as you all probably realize, old-fashioned entertainment centers for tvs and other electronics have gone by the wayside since the advent of 55" widescreens. I ran across this article about a clever way to repurpose these and thought I'd share. Cute, cute, cute! I am trying to get the URL to post but with no luck. Frown

Great Idea! I have an oak entertainment thing in the garage, but too bad by daughter is out of the play kitchen stage. Smile it's barbies now. I guess it could make a Barbie city with the size of my ent.center.

I've seen one of these in person...a very well done one, I might add...it's the best re-use of a piece of outdated furniture I've ever seen! It sold for several hundred buckaroos, too. The one I saw was painted pink, the "fridge" and "oven" door were painted silver and the oven door hinge was moved to the bottom so that it drops down like a real oven. It had a peg rack on one end, chalkboard on the other and all the necessary accoutrements for a little girl's dream kitchen. I have to say, I like the white one, too!
