glue gun use Sign In/Join
posted
This morning a friend told me she has never used a glue gun. It was surprising as she is handy and does projects.

I use mine a lot for doing stuff around the house, in fact this morning I used it to "hem" a curtain on its last legs and to add lace to it.

Do you use a glue gun in household projects or just craft projects?

Craft projects. I understand it's versitilty tho having used one as a floral designer for years (w/ the burns to prove it). It's really a tool that should be a part of general household gadgets as they're definitely useful for quick fixes in a lot of instances.

I use a glue gun around the house, but I keep a box of all different kinds of glue. Fabric glue, tacky glue, super glue etc. Sometimes a glue gun is too gloppy for me, but sometimes it is perfect. Overall, glue is one of my number one tools around the house.

Yep, I've got one on my left forefinger right now Froo, but that is o.k. as it matches the cut on my right forefinger I got minutes before that!

The glue gun is a handy tool. I started using it many years ago with the kids on school projects (who had time to wait for white glue to dry?), but also love it for adding trim to lampshades and applying welt to upholstery items.Who invented the glue gun??I applaud HER!!

I like to use a glue gun to put gimp onto upholstery. It's a great way to finish off antique and flea market chairs.
