A girlfriend has just recently moved to the area and several of us are going down to visit for a girl's weekend next weekend. We all love to shop! Looking for recommendations on shopping areas that have nice gift shops/home decor/fashion boutiques that we should check out. We will be there for several days and anything within a 25-40 mile or so radius would be good.

Well in Raleigh I would say Cameron Village would be a good place to hit. It is hard to make a call on a place in this area where you will find a lot of stores in one location/area. Down town Apex has some really cute shops but there are not a ton of them. Although Peak City Grill would be worth going to for lunch or dinner. Search for S. Salem Street for these shops and Peak City Grill in Apex. In Cary one of my favorite stores is Ivy Cottage. It is only 1 store though but it is jammed packed of home stuff. Especially if you love French Country. If you want to drive an hour down town Pinehurst is charming with shops of all kinds and another great place to go for lunch. Even better shops are in Southern Pines down town strip. Lovely one of a kind home stores. If you do a day trip there (Pinehurst) I love Theos resturant for Greek cuisine. Yummy! Their lemon risato is to die for! CUte ambiance too. Southern Pines is just a short 20 minutes or less from Pinehurst. I know of a couple more places in Raleigh but at the moment can't think of them. I need to ask my neighbor as I went with her Big Grin She is out of town for the weekend though. Wait it might be coming to me.....let me do a search to confirm LOL!

Okay I remembered. The Shops at Baileywick.

Great little spaces individual shops rent out. You can always find something unique and well priced there. Last time I went with my neighbor we were in there for over 2 hours LOL!

Thanks NCKD...This is fab, just what I'm looking for! She lives in Apex so we will definitely check Peak City Grill. Love French Country so Ivy Cottage will go on the list. I think my friend mentioned Cameron Village as well, and I checked out the link to the Shops of Baileywick...right up our alley. Thanks so much!
