As long as he sees that his spam posts are getting views, he will continue to post them.

Please stop viewing them. When you see his name, it is obvious it is a spam post so just Scroll On By. If he stops getting views, hopefully he will GO AWAY!!!

Good advice. It's a shame the mods haven't taken care of the rash of recent advertisers on this board. Do we still have mods?

I agree. At this point I won't even read a post by anyone I don't recognize because it appears that he uses several names and it is nothing but spam.

Me either, Annie.

I don't think we have mods any more. Used to be one could report a post and poof- it was gone!

There are so many of these posts under different names that it boggles the mind! Some boards are mostly spam posts. I e-mailed the powers that be and asked if they were TRYING to shut down the boards...because soon there would be more spam than legitimate posts. Why bother with the boards in that case? I have been here since before we had to register, and I would not like to see the boards doomed by spammer wallpaper...

well when I see a post beside the first time poster... or like this particular one is gathering numbers on his post total so he can go elsewhere on the site and post again... not saying first post... you get the idea.

BUT opening his/her post here.. does not mean we are racking up # of hits on HIS actual link site! That is where he gets money for or numbers that sponsors look for!

So, we can control that we do NOT contribute to that profitable number... buts when I see a poster I trust as the name on the only post or a few posts, I do open to check it out and possibly support that one or two comments.

Funny you should start this thread. I had thought about starting one titled BOYCOTT MICHAEL ELLGREN. I do think even the number of views he receives encourages him to continue.

BTW, I think the mods have disappeared for good.

The weird thing is, his company Sydney Blinds is located in Australia, so it's not like any of us would be likely to use his services.

So true Charles D.

It is easy to ignore people who come on this site to fish for views. We can all spot them. My opinion is that I can understand why people who are starting sites of their own do this kind of thing. They are looking for views any way they can get them. Guess you can't blame a guy for trying. We have the choice to view or not view. I mostly just pass on by and forget about it. Not worth my time to get in a kerfluffle about it.

I don't visit the site often, but didn't take me too long to start recognizing Ellgren's name. What about CJO? I got a reply to a post with a link that said blahblah-slash-"PRODUCTS" which makes me think that person is also posting advertisements. I didn't click the link and haven't opened another one of his/her posts since then.

CJO is a long time poster so you can trust any links in his/her posts...no worries there.

CJO is a regular here. If she posted a link it was to give advice or be helpful.

I really don't see the point of the spam other than to attempt to irritate regulars. Let's just S.O.B. everyone!!

Kind of strange but it looks like a spammer spammed another spammer's thread.

Or maybe i'm just seeing spammers under every rock, but ha! clever if they have a whole thread of spamming each other with ads that we are supposed to read and click the links

I do not click links, even from people I know.
