How can I get my cat to stop opening the shutters every morning at 7am?
We have plantation shutters in our bedroom - one window is right over our bed. Every morning when the sun comes up, my cat jumps up and opens the shutters and the sunlight comes blaring in. Any ideas how to get her to stop?
Thanks in advance

Hi there~ The first thing that came to my mind was some sort of latch. After a little research, I found a few websites that have magnets/etc to help keep them closed. Not sure if they would work for your situation, but you might take a look.http://www.martinshutters.com/buttoncatches.htmhttp://www.martinshutters.com/shutter%20magnets.htmhttp://www.kirtz.com/blog/inde...ts-and-ball-catches/
By the way, cats absolutely love to sit at windows and check out the world outside.
I'm sure you have already asked politely for kitty not to open them. I doubt it worked.LOL They can be stinkers.

luvtoflip, very nice of you to take the time to answer Michael's question. However he's not a legitimate poster but is a determined spammer so we really don't need to "give him the time of day".
However, Michael, if you ever pay attention to your spamming threads I will say I literally LOL at your question. I originally didn't want to post to this thread as I don't want to encourage spammers but since luvtoflip already has I am doing so.
So in answer to your question about your cat - just CLOSE YOUR BEDROOM DOOR WITH THE CAT ON THE OTHER SIDE OF IT and you won't be bothered. I *am* a cat lover but when their silly habits impinge on my enjoyment of life or health then they must take second place. Totally not rational to allow pets to dictate things that cause us grief or ill health.
And, Michael, take some good advice and develop some integrity and quit spamming on this forum. Your spam is not welcome here so I doubt it's doing that company any good.
