I have a mobile home here at the beach, and have deceided to paint the kitchen cupboard white..so I took one of the cupboards over to Lowes to ask for there advice and they told me to get bonding primer and then the white semi gloss paint, but when I brought it home its for kitchens but its 100% Acrylic Latex is this the right paint to use......just wondering before I start...I plan on doing two coats of each.....I'am just afraid that its going to leave paint brush marks instead of something real smooth, and help or advice......trying to bring the beach look in here....thanks

I am not sure about type of paint. Semi-gloss finish can be cleaned easier. If you use a small roller brush, vs. a brush, it will look much better.

You can add a product called Flotrol to make the paint level better. And use a brush or roller made for latex paint (not the kind that looks wooly and fluffy). Check out Google search to find information on this product.

Yes, Lowes told you the correct paints. We just finished painting the kitchen cabinets in our manufactured home and this is what we used. They look great and I am so happy with them . we went from "oak" to white, and painted the hardware also. DH removed it and cleaned it good. Then he painted it with the bonding primer followed by Rustoleum Hammered paint. It is holding up very well.

You want the bonding primer because it will allow your paint to stick to the plastic wood molding and other fake wood surfaces.
