Finally removed wallpaper and did a tuscan finish on walls. Should I paint wainscotting a different color other than white?

The wainscoting looks nice in white, but it might also look good in black or in a dark gold.

Question, you would be leaving the white wainscoting trim at the top and the baseboard white, right?

Idea:
Why not do the same finish on the bottom, just wiping the direction of the boards, they would look more antiqued than Tuscan plaster, but would carry the look the whole wall. But as Gracie mentioned, use a bit darker shade of the same color. I was going to mention a woodtone on the bottom, BUT the table would disappear with colors similar.

What nice corner cabinet and I have always loved Windsor chairs.

You are a fairly new poster, so WELCOME to the boards and thank you so much for posting photos of your wonderful space! It makes is so much easier for us to be able to visualize what you are trying to accomplish! And this is such a NICE project! Can't wait to see it all put together! And you being a DIY'er you have so much in common with most of us here on the board!

LOVE the black bottom w/ gold upper walls. My only suggestion would be about the wall art. Not enough blank space. I would either lose the mirror in the middle (just keep the 2 pics on the side, closer together), or keep the mirror and down-size the pics on the side. I used to work as a graphic artist and one of the big rules is "white (empty) space". Right now, all that stuff on the walls makes it look small, cluttered. Opening up the walls a little bit will expand the visual space.

Me again. I really do love the look of this room. But looking again at the picture you posted, I'd say lose the 2 pics and just keep the mirror. Try taking the 2 pics and hanging one on either side of the doorway. They are perfectly proportioned for that space and I think that would really balance the room. I do really LOVE this room!!!
