Froo FrooWall art may be right under your nose, but too small to make a statement till now....
Take something you really love, a letter, envelope, photograph, a ticket stub... anything - and take it to a printing place like kinkos and have them blow it up for you to hang as art.
Put your personal stamp on your wall (pun intended)

NitalynnI love that idea, Froo! Can you share where you got the photo, and if I can pin it?

Froo FrooI think it's already been pinned. I don't have the original blog link tho.

cocokReally cute idea, especially if it was an old letter or postcard from someone important to you-like maybe a grandparent. Or an old love letter from a couple's dating years. Something personal.

NitalynnI found it on pinterest, Froo, and re-pinned it so I could have it in my idea file. The original blog is littlegreennotebook.blogspot.com, but I can't find it on there. Must be an older post. Thanks for sharing - I may have to try this!

lady of shallotThis is a great idea, esp for those starting out decorating who don't have many choices as yet for wall art.
Could also be a page from a favorite book, a favorite poem. Of course you could also just rip a pretty picture from a magazine and frame it.
In our early days I often did that. (but I must say it didn't have the panache of this thread idea!)

Mary RuthLOS,
I used to look for books at Library sales, yard sales, and church bazaars for bird sketches. I paid less than .25 for most books and got so many beautiful prints that I filled a wall with the collection. And frames found at yard sales for .05 to .25 each.
We are DIY'ers from way back when it was not in fashion, but how thrifty people decorated!
