Bath Tub Surround / What to use? Sign In/Join

I want to keep my old tub and was wondering if a glue-up or direct to studd piece is best. We have a 1950's house. Some options given to us was the swanstone five piece glue up and Acrylux by american standard. I'm just not sure what to go with.

Cannot speak for both products, but:
A friend and myself, have both had great experiences with Swanstone in the bath. We have a stand alone shower stall and she has a tub surround.
