I am so disappointed in the decision of the judges. You all really missed the mark this time. The winner was not someone I would ever tune in to watch.

I think a lot of posters are misunderstanding the prize. The winner does not get his or her show. It is a guest slot on an existing program, plus $25,000.00.

As long as Genivieve and Vern are judging, the same type of designer will always win. Look at Meg. Have you seen her show? Pathetic. they will never pick a more contemporary designer. And Genivieve's condescending attitude makes one question her ability to see beyond her own personal taste. The winner should have been Hilari or the guy thye kicked off last week. Tom and Leslie's boarding school (bored is right) looked like a country club, not a school. Again, conservative design, not pushing the envelope, predictable safe.

But if the judges keep picking designers (if you want to call them that) to win that we, the viewers disagree with, then the ratings will fall. Why keep watching and feel disappointed every time. Meg? Myles with Style? Antonio? The Shabby Chic girl, whatever her name is. I love the concept of the show, but the judging is off track.

I actually liked Kim Myles show, the others I don't watch. Hiliari would have brought a younger generation. Leslie reminds me of Candice. Kinda like they want to repeat what is already being seen.

Since the second season, every year, I have said that I would not watch Design Star again, but this time I really mean it. If Genevieve comes back, I'm out. The new Vern I can deal with, but she needs to go. She would'nt know a good design if it slapped her in the face.

I was shocked and amazed that Hillary did not win!! If not Hillary then at least Tom, but I really believed that Hillary had the best design for inside AND outside.

Their selection is clearly not based upon selecting the best designer. So, in my mind, all future show selections are suspect. I am very disappointed. They could solve this by letting the viewers have a vote or at least letting us have some input to the selection.
