Hilari has style, that's obvious. However the problem I have with her is that she is so full of herself... Always saying things like how great she is, how she deserves to win, she's just so great. That's very unattractive. Not the attitude of a true winner.
@snowflake, what show are you watching. Between last season and All Stars I haven't once gotten an ounce of arrogance from Hilari. She is humble, gregarious, has a wonderful sense of humor and just an all around great designer, and if there is a designer that doesn't think they deserve to be there then I would say that I agree with that. I've never noticed her saying she deserves to be there but if she did so what. And bear in mind a lot of those talking head confessionals we see are prompted by producers.
OMG, Hilary is anything but arrogant compared to some of the past diva contestants on Design Star. She is downright humble by comparison. Everything she says is in good humor with no malice towards anyone else, nor does she ping my "superior" meter at all, so yeah, I don't know what show you're watching, snowflake!
Snowflake, I also think your are wrong about Hilari. She is probably the most down to earth person on the show.
I notice this is your first post. Have you been watching Design Star for several seasons or is this the first time you have tuned in? Maybe you just haven't seen all the really arrogant contestents from other seasons.
I like Hilari a lot and hope she wins All Stars. I do not think she is full of herself at all.I think when she says things like that she is being funny and not serious.I do not get a 'diva' vibe from her.
Leslie,is full of herself and so was Kelly.Those two have awful attitudes and think they are all that.
Hilari is not only outgoing and talented, she plays well with others. Hopefully HGTV sees the potential in her and keeps her around after they've paid her $25,000 for winning this competition.
