Which new contestant is your favorite? what do you think about all of them?

I just had a peek at all of the new contestent videos. It's difficult to tell what someone is really like, from watching a very short video. I wasn't very impressed with most of the contestents, but my favorite was Tracee Dore. She has a certain mature, genuine quality about her, I loved her designs, and she is definately qualified to be a true Design Star. She kind of reminds me of Joan Steffend. I also liked Jennifer Bertrand and Jerome Miller. My prediction is that Jerome will be chosen as the winner.

I am sorely dissappointed that they chose the same three judges. I hope the judges learned from last year's fiasco, and don't repeat the same mistakes. I will watch the series again.

I have seen the ads and think its good to get a preview.any more info on them is a good teaser. But I like teasers.

IMO the men have always been pretty good at designing
hope we get a real designer this time or at least someone who really knows what they are doing

Well. I couldn't even watch the whole Trish audition tape (shudder), Jennifer was cute, but didn't like her designs, D Paul is from LA, so I love him, lol, besides, I loved the home he designed... but then, I'm from Southern Louisiana.

Tracee - her design style isn't my taste, but I think there are many folks who would like it, and she seems ok for TV. I think Matt has lots of potential. I like that clean, contemporary style. I agree, Jermone is darlin' - what a super personality!

Michael looks like he's going to be lots of fun. Mikey V - a cop/designer? lol, should be fun, and I liked his designs.

Of course, all my opinions are subject to change as the show goes on.

As usual I like ones personality and then read something or see something that turns me off. Darn. Well we'll see. They all deserve a fair chance.

So far I like Matt Locke and Michael Stribling. In fairness, it's still based on very little infor mation so that could change . I think the contestant everyone will love to hate and beat up on (not literally of course) will be either Trish, or Mikey V. Nice to be back

You might be right, somehow, I get the feeling that D. Paul and Trish will be the least favorites, especially Trish.

I don't remember her name or her video but my favorite and the one I want to win is the one from my hometown of Louisville KY. But I'm not biased...

I think Tracee is going to show some real talent. Good personality and being from E-Town, Kentucky, like nothing better then supporting a local contender.

I had a good look at all of the contestant's videos. Based on what I saw, I like Tracee Dore the best. She has a nice, professional quality about her. And her designs are esquisite. There are several contestants that I didn't care for. It looks like there may be a lot of silly drama again, but MAYBE we'll get a wonderful new designer out of the bunch. As long as we don't get another kim Myles. I'm looking forward to the series, and having some great conversations with all of the Message Board members.

WOW! You must be proud, I went back and reviewed the audition tapes...She looks great! Hope she wins! I am swayed easily!

At the moment, Tracee Dore is my favorite as well.

I did like the personality and promise that Jennifer and Mr Miller present us. Was it Jerome Miller who said what you see is what you get. He showed furniture to sit on that looked old fashioned comfortable. Not so skinny bone hurting lean. Though I am sure he can do both.
I have my fingers crossed to see the surprise designer star.
Though I am not saying Jennifer will show more of my style. That is the mystery part of the show. Will I see that or not.
However like a lot of people the 'knock your socks off' creative person will knock my socks off and I am waiting to see that person.
I am not sure yet, who it really is. Some like to hint they have it. Others don't say they are like that.

I think Tracee Dore might be the one. I wonder why she did the skipping. We all thought of Todd immediately. I am hopeful about her style presentations. I saw a lot of flashes of pink, which I like, but well modern textiles or design of say fabric and wall paper was evident in her boards. It was not exactly timeless designed fabric. Things like checks stripes toile are timeless. Classic and timeless makes it for me. But we'll see. She adapted classic to a bit contemporary showings so we'll see.

Maybe Trish can bring in some good stuff. She does remind me of that color sense lady...... and well her personality seems highly charged to me,first impression to me kind of thing. I am hopeful about the women presented this year.
though the personality that grabbed me showed that clock that is all spiky that I have seen Kim and others use on their shows........... so not sure style and personality is the way to go for her yet.......

Guess I need to review. D. Paul promises casual eleglance. I wonder how that can take off in the design star showing of talent? I wonder what cajun spice entails?
Matt Locke is a perfectionist will that work. I feel drama coming. I wonder about his warm modern?
Michael told us a lot but told us nothing. He skirted around. His video showed little. One picture he had gave me a little hope........ but again, he will add to the drama. Had he prepared a better informative video, maybe I would be more for him?

The cop designer is out for me. Anything modern and industrial. nope. Though I will appreciate the cleverness that is offered to me.
