LeslieEzelle@LeslieEzelle Leslie Ezelle is an artist, designer, breast cancer survivor, former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, Design Star ALLSTAR Contestant and the new face of g*y!
FYI I had to re-post this because I was notified I used a word not allowed on this forum. I guess that would be the word, g*y. Hmmm.

I used that word in a post and it never got posted.
I couldn't care less who Leslie loves. I care more about her design abilities and her on screen personality.

I'm just saying...not that there's anything wrong with that :-)

I know you didn't mean anything other than how stange for Leslie to say that. My comment was more about HGTV not letting us use the word.

Exactly, you got what I meant. Why would she title herself as the new face of g*y? That doesn't make sense to me. There are numerous Dallas papers titling their articles as, first g*y to win, or first lesb*in to win. Makes one wonder if this title was some sort of an important milestone. Could you imagine if one read on Hilary's tweeter: Mother, wife, designer, Designer Star contestant, and the new face of straight? LOL

Hummm.....so that explains it.
I was baffled as to why a semi-talented, nerve-grating person like Leslie beat Hilari or Tom, two people who were much more qualified. Hilary Younger was the obvious winner Tuesday but "something mysterious" blocked that from happening. HGTV needed to be a "trailblazer".
Political correctness rears its ugly head once again. I wonder if the judges were embarrassed as they faked their praise of someone they knew didn't deserve it.
Here's a link that might explain HGTV's agenda in picking Leslie. {You'll have to change the * to an "a" -- the board wouldn't let it come through here intact).
You know, I’m the first and only – that I know of – woman that’s g*y out of all six seasons on HGTV’s Design Star. They’ve had plenty of men, but I’m the first gal! I actually didn’t know that, but one of the guys pretty high up in the network told me “You’re the first one that we’ve ever had!” I was like, “Alright, cool!”

Does anyone really care that she's a lesbian? I don't. Why make such a big deal about it? It should be about her designs, not her sexual preference. If she wants to make a name for herself, I don't understand why she's making it about that.

See, that’s the thing. No one cares what her sexual preference is …BUT APPPARENTLY, Leslie and other people at HGTV, and the g*y community, do. It didn’t have bragging points until the contest was over.

Oh, give me a freaking break already. Who gives a crap? If I won, would I gloat over being the first over-50 contestant to win? Does anyone really care anymore? And why does her preference relate to her design ability? If she's more concerned with that than winning because of her talent, there's something wrong with her. She's prejudiced. She's certainly NOT the first person on DS who has been g*y and who cares if she's the first female? So stupid, but it just shows you where she's coming from. This message has been edited. I have to admit that this is my first season watching Design Stars and I was excited until the finale of Design All Stars.
I agree that Hilari was the clear winner with Tom in second place. I think it is time for new judges to be put in place as I think professionalism has taken a back seat to their personal opinions.
I am very disappointed in HGTV for pushing g*y agenda to this extreme. I felt that Hilari had a traditional family and she was crucified for it---shame on you, HGTV.This message has been edited. Last edited by: Inspector MG,

Well, this only confirms that Twitter is a disaster waiting to happen. To read more into it than a possibly overenthusiastic comment at a moment of a certain amount of attention in the press is foolish, I think.

And by the way, she's not the first at HGTV, man or woman.

For Leslie to give herself a title such as The New Face of G*y, is little more than an overenthusiastic comment on her part. It's a title that apparently recieves some sort of support, or else why state it?

Hilari was the best designer and should have won.I never liked Leslie. Her design style was ugly and she was far too brash and aggressive. Her over stepping other designers and stupid behavior on the camera challenges just made me dislike her even more.I am just glad that she will not be getting a show as part if her winnings.Perhaps she will disappear into HGTV's black hole of unlikable personalities.
To say she is the new face of G*y is about as obnoxious as that Gaga woman saying her song "Born this Way" was the new g*y anthem. Grow up ladies and stop it.You look ridiculous.

The judges were embarrassed only until their paychecks came in. haha, they they'll say whatever they're paid to say.
