David was gushing about how "real" Kris Jenner was, and how wonderful she was to work with. Meg was jealous, and thought it was a great opportunity to work with Kris. I just wanted to go "Really, really? I mean really?"
David went on about Kris and Mierea fighting, saying that's not how Design Star works. I guess he didn't watch last season, can we all say Kathy! I also find it hard to believe that some of these contestents aren't picked because they have such egos. Any interview with Luca and Kris would shout conflict, so it has to be something they look for.
I think they could have showed more design and less conflict. I don't like Kris but in the end the room looked great. We needed to see some of Luca and Bex because it was the reason the room was not as good as it could have been.
Although I don't like Meg's voice I do like to hear what she has to say about each episode. I even watched another one of her Great Rooms, sadly it was nothing special, a rather ordinary kitchen redo. The sink look liked it was hammered copper but they only showed it briefly and didn't really talk about it. Other than the sink and some special hardware there was nothing outstanding in her kitchen.

Haven't seen Meg's but David, IIRC, actually implied the situation between Bex and Luka was far more serious than they showed, including threats of violence.
Again, IIRC, his comment about the supposed DS way referred to that situation - not Chris and Miera. In fact, also IIRC, he actually applauded Chris and Miera for setting aside their differences and working it out ftbo the client.
ITA, please spare us the Kar-trash-ian promo b.s., David. This message has been edited. Last edited by: bballdays,

This is just my humble opinion but I think that Luca guy was a real "problem personality", which is putting it mildly. I can't imagine any of the contestants working well with him. I will reserve judgment on Bex because of that. I got very bad vibes from him and that usually means something.
I hate to say it, but I think they deliberately choose some of these people based on their "conflict potential" just to see how well the others put up with them as a test of their ability to work with difficult people. That said, I don't even think the people who choose these contestants know what they're going to get until they see the results. I hate to say it but I don't think it could have been fair to anyone who would have been unlucky enough to be paired with this guy.

I agree. After last week's show I thought the producers purposely put Luca and Chris on the show to bring insanity. I bet they encouraged them to go all out. And, then many of the comments from the judges, makes it all feel like a huge publicity stunt. I do watch to see the designs, but mostly the show seems forced and fake.
