The "powers that be" at HGTV need to admit defeat. The only truly successful designer from Design Star was chosen by the fan vote. David's success alone should prove to HGTV that our vote and likes and dislikes are what truly matter. You just cant shove anyone down our throats. Its been how many seasons now and all of the "Judges picks" have been a failure. They lost a good opportunity with Hilari. She appealed to a wide range of their audience, from the older generation to the younger urban generation (who they cherish). I just don't get it.
