Without Hilari, Danielle would not have won Sign In/Join

Without Rachel and Mikel, Britany would have.

Let loose to do her own thing independently, would have resulted in a better overall product for Britany.

It is telling that Britany was never in the bottom group for any of the episodes. The judges could find no cause to send her home. EVER! Now, all of a sudden, she qualifies for dismissal.

Danielle completely mimicked Hilari throughout her pilot. I got the sense that Danielle knew that Hilari was the true winner for personality and camera presence and Britany was the best designer. All of Britany's designs were done well, were elegant, and had the appearance that the they were designed by a professional. Danielle's designs looked like little more than what I can do in my own home with time and a few unique pieces. In my opinion, the only designs of Danielle's that reflected a polished look were her first two - the great room and her white room.

I like Danielle. She is very pleasant and was nice to the other contestants. However, I am tired of the same types of personalities on HGTV, especially those who end each sentence as if it were a question. It is boring and robotic.

Britany would have been a refreshing change simply because I would have been very excited to see what she could come up with week and week. As someone else posted in this forum, Britany could have offered to the viewers a how-to in terms of achieving a polished and professional design appearance. Her show would have lasted because she is a good designer.

I will end on this note. I am very happy for Danielle and at least she is a better designer than most of the past winners, including Meg, Jennifer, Antonio, and Kim.

Britani got to choose her assistants first and she chose Rachel. I was surprised when she didn't choose Hilari. Kudos to Danielle!! She was smart enough to choose Hilari, and her room designs were much more interesting last night than Britani's.

I too, would have liked Britanys. It did look rich. Every designers work reflect their likes. Thats why we choose them and they work on our rooms, sure it has her taste, isn't that what we want. Daniells room looked good, but it looked like first apartment type home. However it was real and fit the needs.

I hesitate to say,but will, though that that glass table Britany had in that room worked but is strictly for adults, unless it attaches some way to the structure. A child of four or five would have to be watched and cautioned around it. I loved her black and white running through out.

I can not wait for all stars.

I didn't like either room. Too many colors in Danielle's room and too much wall paper in a small area for Brittany. Yes Danielle mimicked Hillary and was unnatural. Danielle did give the homeowners what they wanted.

Neither room was anything I would have personally liked, but apparently the clients liked it. That is what makes a successful space in real life. I have done spaces for clients that I, personally, didn't like but were what the client wanted. Altho I'd never use true "bad taste" (if someone wants that I'd send them to someone else) sometimes you just can't bring your own design style into a space.

I think Danielle showed better than Brittany that she is able to give clients what they want, no matter how she would feel about it in her own space.

Maybe I'm missing something but I don't think Britany would not have won even if she picked Hilari. She sent Rachel and Mikel shopping and then didn't let them buy anything. She micro-managed when she should have delegated.

Danielle delegated, she used her teams strengths. She also designed for her clients. Someone else posted that her family seemed more pleased than Britany's and I agree.

Huh, and here I'm thinking that Danielle is more of a refreshing change for HGTV than Britany. To me, Britany seems uni-dimensional as a person, at least the way she presents herself on TV. Danielle feels more human and "relatable". Britany's camera challenges left me feeling like she was more scripted, staged and composed than Danielle, and to me that just doesn't feel like she and I could be girlfriends, you know what I mean? She was too perfect! I think they pick their designers in part based on how well the audience feels like they can relate to the designer. I was a Hilari fan but between Danielle and Britany, I think Danielle was the better choice.
