I'm so disappointed that I did not get to see either of the new shows that aired this past Saturday. I was out of town, and did not set the DVR. However, what was HGTV thinking by airing these shows to compete with Olympics coverage on a Saturday night??? I love all the HGTV designer shows, and was excited to see a new one, but often find that tracking down the new HGTV shows with the Design Star winners is very difficult! Come on HGTV, replay those episodes!!!

The Kitchen episode will be repeated on Saturday, August 11th at 8:30 PM with a new episode at 8:00 PM. The website does not list a repeat of the Modern Living Room episode. The network did not go crazy promoting this program (ie. Love It or List It and Property Brothers). I hope we will see more than the four scheduled episodes.

So were there two shows when there was suppose to be one show. I wonder why two shows. I'll have to make note which night it shows.

Last Year, Meg got five shows right after Design Star; then a full season in the new year. So far there are only four shows listed under the episode guide for Shop This Room. All those episodes will air by August 18th (two new ones on the 4th, one old and one new on the 11th and 18th).

Didn't see this promoted at all. Which p's me off when I feel like that train wreck abomination L.I.O.L.I. is being shoved down my throat every time I have HGTV on.

I agree, Charles, and the contest they have on L.I.O.L.I. isn't going to entice me to watch his show. Do you think the network figures any attention they can get for this show is good whether it is favorable or unfavorable?

First we get all the real estate shows and now we get all the drama. What will come next?

I went on the Chat Line yesterday and told them how much I enjoyed Danielle's show. I am going on again today to re-enforce that fact and ask them if there are more than four episodes scheduled.

UPDATE: I went on Chat Line and learned that there are currently five episodes scheduled for showing. We can check back toward the end of the month for an update on the schedule.

They said the winner usually has a contract for six episodes to start.

Well, no wonder none of these shows do very well! If they don't promote it, then people don't know when to watch. I, too, am tired of all the real estate shows, and would like to see some good design shows. I love Sabrina Soto's show also, but I watch that in re-runs on Wednesday mornings because I never know when the first airings are. Come on HGTV...the ratings on the shows would be better if we knew when they are on!

I watched Danielle's first two shows and I have to say I liked them very much. I like it that it's a NY based show because she takes us to stores that only real designers seem to know about and that I've never seen before, which is very interesting to me as I'm originally from NY.

I HATE it that the show is not being plugged by HGTV. What gives? They only want to shove garbage down our throats!

As someone said in a similar thread...

NO drama or flying sledgehammers!!!

Plus, Danielle isn't trying to show her cleavage or flirt with her carpenter.

What's NOT to like about this show?

She's talented, personable and professional. Smile
