I helped the young people at my church decorate thier room. It is 23' long and 12' wide. The door is 64" from one end. The 2 windows are 18" wide x 5 1/2' long.
The church has specific rules ... no loud paint colors, nothing attached to the walls (with the exception of curtain rods), no pictures of religeous personalities or icons.
The kids chose chocolate brown, red and biege (the present wall color) as their colors.
We had 4 couches that were similar in style and size and 3 other mismatched couches, an wooden half bench/half table thing to work with. There was a TV on a rolling stand that had to be worked in. There was a budget of $850 in donations. I know what I did ... and we think it looks great ... what would the designers do with this challenge?

That really would be an interesting challenge di.

It seems like many of the challenges have been for spaces that really aren't intended for groups of people. Your challenge captures a LOT of things that are difficult to work with -- designing for groups of people, designing on a tight budget, doing a difficult shaped area and limitations in what can be used in the design.

I'm looking forward to the new season to see them do some different sort of designs. I've seen some really interesting suggestions here on the DS board.
