I saw back to back episodes of Shop This Room with Danielle last night. What a great tv personality she has. She comes across relaxed, genuine and classy. Loved the intro to the show... her dog and the back shot of her running down the street with her packages. So cute. I also enjoy her design style. I especially liked the built ins with the crib railing. Congrats Danielle. HGTV I hope to see more of Shop this room!
I, also loved Danielle's show. After seeing Danielle's wall of family pictures, I am seriously thinking of doing something like that. I am 76 years old and I have a number of pictures of my parents and grandparents when they were young. I am going to mat and frame them and include info with them for future generations. I also have a leather postcard sent to my Grandmother that I will mat and frame. I am getting really enthused about this idea.
I think it is great when a show makes you say, "I can do that."

I finally caught Shop This Room yesterday and I was delighted with the kitchen Danielle did and her on camera personality. Can't wait to see more. This one is a real winner.

I caught the same show and thought she needed training in kitchen design!!
She seems very nice and would be pleasant to work with but that island!!!! It was only there to be able to say there was an island. Barely space to walk between it and the wall and no storage on that side. It should just have been pushed up against the wall.
While I liked the tiles, using them in the back of a bookcase meant you were very limited in what tihings you could display there. They would have to be very bold to stand out against the tile.
Since she seems so nice I will try to catch another show... maybe not a kitchen this time.

I watched her 2 episodes last night. The living room was pretty good, but kitchen was so-so. There was not enough room for an island. Shall we take bets how long the inspirational ginger jar will last on the lowest shelf with a toddler boy running about the house?
I only saw 1 episode. I enjoyed it, I'm not wowed by her, she's nice, she' okay. But I only saw a couple things that she bought and used as they were; the frames? The spindles had to be transformed, the wall unit was custom made. I'm just wondering if "Shop this room" is the appropriate title? I'm happy that they at least are showing it now, seems like other years you had to wait a year before it aired.
Just watched her new episode where she did that amazing kitchen for that couple. Have to say, I'm impressed. Altho it wouldn't be my dream kitchen what she did in there was drop dead gorgeous.
Danielle is a great designer. I for one, love her new show. It's easy to relate to her, begin from Brooklyn. When she designed the kitchen, I was totally overjoyed. While I am far from a designer, I just updated my old tired kitchen using the exiting walnut cabinets, adding the white subway tile, and a white marble colored countertop (formica). The look was so similar, I was thrilled! I was going to paint the cabinets white or black, now I will leave them walnut! Thank you Danielle! So happy you won Design Star and I wish you all the success in your new show and endeavors!
I did like most of Danielle's designs during the DesignStar contest, but i have not seen any of that in her new show. I'm not impressed, although I thought i'd give her a few episodes to learn her stuff and see what happens.
