I've always watched because I like the competitions & most of the contestants. I barely tolerate the judges, who have no personality and repeat the same critique when they look at the room, to the contestants & in deliberations. But, everyone they have chosen for the last three design stars remind me of home shopping network hosts. Their delivery is so contrived, they are not even vaguely interesting. Hilary should be glad she didn't win, she has to much personality for this network, that now just seems like one big commercial to me.

This seems to be the only bright spot. Hilari should move along to a real network that produces shows for the family ("traditional families")

HGTV seems to be running the network to suit themselves and their own agenda, not what the viewers want.

piper77, the Food Network does the same thing with the smarmy salesman-like personalities. Less real talent and more snake oil pushing.

Thank. You. I was thinking I can't be the only one who is also disappointed in the Food Network. I have personally boycotted Next Food Network Star for the past two seasons. I grew weary of the "sales". And with Design Star on HGTV, I again grow weary of no-talent judges judging talented contestants.
