ROBBED AGAIN
Brittany has every reason to feel cheated. Her room was the best. For some reason, the judges have been overlooking her each week.

Hilari's room was very good also.

I think that Danielle missed the mark somewhat with the colors. Her room did not appear as polished as Brittany's, by far. Brittany's room looked like something imported from a high end showcase room, very professional, perfectly done.

I can see how they dinged her for the camera challenge, but come on......she deserved the award for design tonight.

She probably feels that this was the last straw as she has been overlooked so many times. I can certainly understand her hurt and her need to let it out.

I loved Danielle's room. It is the lounge that I would want to spend time in.

I thought Brittany's reaction made her appear immature. I can understand how she might feel this way in the heat of the moment, having given it her best. I would hope that upon reflection she would realize that different people will have different opinions about design. A different set of judges may have preferred her room. But it was certainly not a slam dunk winner.

Brittany's design was amazing, but I also think Danielle hit the Art Deco period perfectly. My guess was that Brittany didn't win because her speaking presentation was bumpy. David keeps stressing that the camera and speaking challenges are equally as important as the design.

I can understand Brittany's frustration..her room was beautiful. I don't understand why the people who edit these films felt the need to include her remark in their editing. People say things in the heat of the moment and we don't know what was said before or after her remark. I think the editors are looking for drama anywhere they can.

I just can't quite decide who HGTV is grooming to be the winner this year. After last season...I am sure they have an agenda. This is just my opinion.

I've been trying to figure that out too! I'm thinking it will be either Danielle or Hilari.

I think you are probably right, Doodles. They both do well in their speaking challenges. Brittany reminds me of Karl from last season...designs are great but speaking is a challenge.

Stanley...he has had it pretty easy so far. Doing the wood work in one show and a room of the future last night. He made the table, but the judges didn't seem to like it very much. I will give him credit...he helped Hilari with carrying her purchases and I think he probably helps others, too.

Michel seems to lean toward the idea that less is better. He seems to get along with everyone.

Rachel...sometimes I love her designs and sometimes not so much. If she does not do better in her speaking challenges, they will vote her off.

I almost forgot...I liked what they did when painting the floors, especially Danielle's design.

This is all just my opinion. Now, I am going to watch my tape and see what I missed last night.

I also think it was her camera challenge,it could have gone either way for me because I thought both of the designs were really good. I agree about them showing the comment Brittney made, so far this season it has been mostly about the decorating and less about the drama and it was disappointing to see that. However, I do believe this is probably one of the best seasons as far as quality of contestants go. I've really enjoyed seeing what they come up with every week.

Truthfully, I was shocked. I thought Brittany's was fabulous. I also thought Danielle's was great too, but with a slight edge going to Brittany's whose was just perfect IMO. I know that these things are highly edited, so I also have to wonder how her camera challenge actually looked full version.

I think Hillari is coming into her own and doing great, but Brittany and Danielle are totally pros. Usually I have had a tendency to lean toward Danielle's rooms, but last night, I think Brittany edged her out easily. Guess you just can't be sure with these judges.

Brittany was at a disadvantage with her era. She was so happy to have "her" style but the truth is that "Hollywood Regency" is the style dujour and it shows up in every magazine and every design catalogue. Everyone is doing it, while Danille showed great insight to Frech Art Deco. The use of chalky peachy/pinks and the "La Revue Negre" poster with its nod to Josephine Baker was spot on.

I would have gotten rid of the whiney blonde. Victorian style can be super cool. Look at the popularity of the "Steam Punk" movement. She kept describing it as old and dusty. She obviously has no clue about historic decorating. Plus last week her kids area looked like the driveway of someone having a yard sale. Next!

Mikel's & Hilari's lounges appealed most to me; they were bright, fresh and uncluttered. Both of their camera spots were well-done, IMO. While both Danielle & Britany had beautiful Hollywood lounges, they were too busy for my taste. My eyes kept flying around the spaces. Danielle's camera spot was also well-done. Stanley had a great "futuristic" design; didn't catch his camera shot. Rachel was having a tough time with Victorian & camera; Kris would have been better w/out the paneling, camera okay. Good luck to all in the kitchen challenge!

Totally disagree with original post. The judges got it right this time, the deco room was perfection.

And Britney showed her true colors with her little outburst. Ugly.

Except for Karl not winning last year, this is the first time that I totally disagree with who came in last. Rachel's room was terrible. Was she thinking of a horror movie? Rachel is the type of designer that I would never want to have to do my home. If I said that I like Traditional, country, etc. She would think that because she didn't like that style she would change it to something else. I think that Victorian style would have been easy to do. I think that even I could have pulled it off.
I liked Brittany's room slightly more than Danielle's but I thought that both their rooms were great. I wonder if by putting in that seemingly catty remark from Brittany means that she has no chance to win this competition. It would be a shame because so far I have liked Danielle and Britanny best.

I kind of wonder if Britany not winning week after week is a ploy to throw us off.....

I would be more concerned with them keeping Rachel. After I looked at the still photos I thought Rachel's room was really horrible. The design was slightly different but I think she redid the coffee table from episode 1. I thought her two wins were what saved her but I don't think she was the best in episode 1 and her WRC was not my favorite with all those potted plants. It will be interesting to see what she does next.

Yeah, I can't believe Rachel didn't get eliminated yet AGAIN. And Brittany's outburst made me feel sorry for her. I can't imagine that they didn't include it knowingly because she is overlooked every week. Mr. Ntuitive1 said the judges didn't even give her any compliments on her room at all as if it wasn't that great, so he saw her outburst as a result of feeling unappreciated and unrecognized by them. He also thought it made the judges look mean. I thought he had a point because they often praise the top two rooms but not this time. Then they cut to her crying. More than coincidental if you ask me.

Brittany missed the mark on the camera challenge and Danielle nailed the design and the camera challenge.
