Pool
What do we know about this pool? How deep is it, and how long is it? It is usable or just for breading more skeeters? Where is the pumped housed?

Only thing mentioned is that it is a plung pool. It does not look deep as you can see the steps to the bottom, but could be deceiving. I think it would be nice to relax in.

Just about any pool is fine with me. Water for relaxing and for when everyone comes over for 'ritas!

Call me crazy but I would love to turn the pool into a koi pond and float some water lilies and other water plants.

It's not very family friendly. If you have kids you'd have to put a fence up or a cover and alarm. I'd fill it with soil and rocks and turn it into a garden, or just cover it with more decking.

I just bought some brand new "water wings." I will need them everytime I use the kitchen door because I know beachlady will not pay attention with her horsey purse and knock me into the pool. I wish there was a little railing there.

I was showing bubba pichurs of the deck area and he sez, 'Wha lookee thar. Ain't thet jes naborly. A waterin' troff fer visitin' folks horses." Bubba don't get off the farm much.

True story.

The guy that was putting the tile on it....his head was below the top edge of the pool. I would say it is 6 ft plus. The pumps have to be in the garage.

I LOVE it! A place to cool off in the heat but a jacuzzi would have been just as nice for me too.........nice touch but the grill is not in a convenient place. I would have to have to bring "my" grill to have on the upper level near the kitchen (for cooking & access to what you need instead of so many trips carrying things)

I just watched the video again, and the pool pump system seems to be hidden behind the screen that the grill is in front of. And it is very smart to have a pool 10 feet off the ground so Mr Bills pet gator can't escape.

Mr. Bill, I'm with you on the railing. It's too close to the sliders for comfort. I could just picture Mere's new Twin Grandkids tearing out the door - kerplash!

JSB.... OH my! I'm worried about the safety of that pool too. I wouldn't want my grandkids or any guests to accidentally "plunge" in!!

p.s. what part of Joisey you from? I'm in the northwest.

I would put in some safety items for the pool to protect my grandchildren when visiting, but i would sure enjoy the pool.

At minimum, it could use a cover.

I'm making this promise to you all right here and now. When I win the home and travel to see it for the Winner's Weekend, I promise to you all that I am going to 'plunge' right in to that pool while they are filming me.
Watch and see!

Then you could try out the outdoor shower.

Betsy: If you win, remember to remove your phone before taking the plunge!
No real worries though. I plan to be there!

Mere-
Thanks for the reminder! Honestly I wouldn't even be upset if I did forget!
nursejudy- I'm sure I'll get plenty of use out of the outdoor shower, for myself and for washing off our pug after visiting the beach!
