Really curious, does anyone know when the ambush team arrives in the winner's (c'est moi!) home town to start 'scouting' around. I realize the draw isn't until the 27th....but I've got to wonder if there isn't some sort of pre-draw team that travels ahead to get things in order. That would also mean that the draw has taken place prior to the 27th. Anybody know how this all unfolds?
Just anxious I guess.... :-)

I think they would ambush where ever the winner is.

No pre-draw team since they would have to draw to know where to Ambush. I think they usually ambush about a week before they show the special. I think some people are surprised it's not live.

Two years ago a neighbor got on the boards & blog and let the cat out of the bag along with the winners address so they had to announce the winner early. They did it on the blog.

I love reading all the BOLO comments. It really adds to the excitement leading up to the announcement.

I haven't seen anyone here yet. Come on HGTV! Lots of our snow is finally melting so it's easier to get up my driveway!

What if the lucky winner was at work and not at home that night. Would she/he be ambushed at work instead?

Yes yellowrose, they could ambush you at work, they have done that in the past with a few of the winners. They really do their research when comes to determining the whereabouts of the winner at the time they want to surprise him or her. Sometimes they have even schemed with family, neighbors, and coworkers to pull off the ambush. So be on your toes and BOLO!

I heard a lot of noise last night. Pretty sure it was the snow removal plows going by.

I actually watched the DH being hosted by Monica last evening. Monica, you did a great job! I had to laugh when you got star struck with the golfing celebrities. I kept thinking....'Do they even know who SHE is?"

The entire team made a masterpiece with DH2013; congrats!

Oh, it's likely they haven't done the ambush yet? I guess I should wash my hair and put on some lipstick today after all.

I retired. No more work. I'll be home! Promise I will, so come on to my house HGTV!

I will be working Feb 27th and 28th on the OB unit which is a locked unit, you have to ring to get in!! I better let my fellow staff members know if a group is looking for me to let them in!!

Is there anyone excited besides me? I CAN'T HERE YOU! Keep your eyes open they're picking the winner on or around the 27th. That's in 2 days! They're suppose to ambush the winner between the 28th of Feb. and March 4. So the winner will know within this next week. How exciting is that? Good luck everyone. Keep eyes and ears open.
