What if the winner isn't home so they can not Be contacted by phone or mail ? Will they ask neighbors if they know the where about of the Winner . Or will they just pick someone else ? | |||

AmeliaLouise, dear, this is a special case you have presented. They will invoke, what is commonly called in the trade, "Ameliorations." HGTV's crew of endless compassion, diplomacy and the highest integrity will carry out an All-Points-Bulletin on yours, (or, mine, if I win,) whereabouts. We are talking Basset Hound-type searching, here. They will be searching and searching! :>) But just in case they don't, one needed, in this case to leave a cell phone number...you did leave a cell phone number, didn't you, dear AmeliaLou?!!! It is painful, yea, it is devastating to think, had you not left a cell phone number that, perhaps, Leafly might end up using your situation in one of her stories! Hello Shelly; So; would you mind sharing with us how and in what form you were first contacted and how long before the live show was aired? How much time passed between the taping and the reveal? Did you get a call? An email? A letter? Was it a week before, a few days before and when did you get the paperwork? Did someone from the network visit you, or did it arrive via mail? Are you allowed to even say after all this time? The answers to at least some of these questions would go a long way to easing the minds of many stressed out people. PLEASE... | |||

LOL....Shelly found out like 90% do...surprised at the "Live Reveal Show" . Only two people I know were clued in slightly. Much like a Surprise Birthday Party, a few people know in order to set up the winner. On occasion a person can't keep a secret but the person has to "act surprised" for the network. But most are truly caught off guard.
