Someone called this a swamp house. I'm not familiar with this part of the country. I guess I don't get the water situation. It's an island but has marshland to get to the ocean?

one of the SC barrier islands....ocean does not totally surround the island. Yes, there are marshes and the inland waterway (to get to the ocean)
