Sometimes I wonder if they have ever disqualified someone they chose based on a background check, or some other reason that picking that person may look bad for hgtv. Do you think they would disqualify someone who was too "wealthy" or lived in a house that was much bigger and more extravagant than the dream home? Can you imagine hgtv surprising someone who lived in a mansion, and how people would react to this, or would they disqualify the person thinking it would look bad choosing someone "rich" to win the dream home? I wonder what reasons (other than obvious criminal background) they would use for disqualifying someone..

They need to make sure the winner meets the qualifications in the rules; that you live in the United States, age 21 years or older, and i am sure they would want to make sure you are not a criminal or something as you are representing HGTV.

Do you know if bankruptcy or bad credit is a disqualifying reason? I know they would not want a criminal but it doesn't specify what kind of background check. Where could I find out exactly what they are looking for or what specifically disqualifies someone regarding their background check?
