Iam tying to knit this scarf although Iam not an experience knitter. My pattern says to knit 80 stitches with double yarn and then cut one strand of yarn and continue with the other strand ok then on row 1 knit 1 purl 1 row 2 says to purl 1 knit 1 what I need to know do you knit and purl into both stitches or just each one on theses rows. the third row says to knit into the front and back of each stitch and you will then have 160 stitches. Please help! Every good and perfect thing is from above. James 1:17 ***************************** Words can't break bones, but they can break hearts. | |||

I will see if I can help! on the K1 P1 that is a rib pattern and you do as it says knit one stitch go to next stitch and purl it.On the 3rd row you knit the stitch but don't take off the needle knit in the front of that same stich and then take off needle. This is an increase stitch.I suggest you practice on scrap and you can also google how to knit in front and back of stitch and you may find a tut to show you.Holler if I can help!!This message has been edited.
