When my daughter was small (she is now 40) my aunt crocheted her a hat and I am looking for a pattern for it or close to it.

It was a flat band about 5" wide from ear to ear,had ties under the neck and in the back it had tails of single crochet attached about every 2",they had a double crochet at the tail end that curled and all of these were drawn up in a pony tail that fit the back of the head. I could probably just wing it but it would be easier if I had a pattern to make one.

I still can't believe that I gave that hat away.
