EvbookYarn needed
i belong to a group that makes afghans for Veterans in hospitals. Some of our members are on fixed incomes and can not afford yarn. We use 4-ply acrylic yarns. We can use partial skeins, balls, leftovers, etc. All would be welcome.

Suesy-QThree months ago I gave away about 20 pounds of yarn. Sorry to late, but the cost of shipping would be high.

Cougar1If you have Freecycle there, you can post a request looking for yarn. I have gotten a few things and also posted things to give away.
Google Freecycle and see if you have one in your area.

Craigslist is also a good place to try. Also try posting notices in laundermats, grocery store bulletin boards, churches, etc. Yard sales frequently have yarn and I am sure if you told them what you were doing w/ it that you might get a really good deal. Good Luck.]

silly birdI've been crocheting for the homeless for several yrs. and I get most of my yarn at garage sales. I always tell them what I use it
for and some give it to me and others sell it for less.
Also if you just ask around you will be surprised at the folks who are willing to help.
I started donating some of the things I make to my friend's church and she got folks there to donate yarn.
thank you for making a difference.
