Have you tried any of the knitting or crocheting
sites. Bing it and some sites will show up and you may find an easy pattern there.

I think I have the vests that were popular in the early 70s. They were real easy to make. Let me know if you want me to go rooting.

peppermint is this the one done in double crochet in one piece? Have been looking for a while also. Remember doing it for DD now would like to do it for DGD. If you do run across it please let me know. Thanks.

Patti, I'd love to have you go "rooting" if you don't mind! But I have no idea what vests were popular in the 70's. I'm just in a knitting mood and I love using vests in the winter.

In the 70's, I was busy making short-sleeved cardigan sweaters on a round needle. I think it, too, was knit in one piece. There might have been some sleeve seams required, but I can't remember. I've also thought about finding that pattern to make again.

I just looked out on Ravelry…there are pages of vests and lots of free patterns. I may have to try one…cute!
