Hi again! I know I had it but lost it; grr. This was like a band that goes across the foot, with a self-pattern yarn. It did not have a heel or toes. Anyone else see this around? Thank you!

Here's a knit one:
Flip Flop Socks Here's a crochet one: Crochet Flip Flop Socks I googled: flip flop knit sock and then: flip flop crochet sock I think I saved off another one also, but it's on my dead computer. I'm getting disks back from it next week, though, so I'll look. This message has been edited. Last edited by: craftyrad, |

I clicked on this post because I was curious. I don't get it (again). What's the point of the sandal socks?? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of wearing open sandal/flip flops ? Someone please explain before I start losing sleep trying to figure it out, LOL!
Remember when you were a little kid, and somehow your socks would roll down off your feet and slowly maneuver their way into just half of your shoe, so you were just wearing the sock on your toes? It was an icky feeling and this reminds me of that. Hmmm...it could just be me. "Are you gonna bark all day, little doggie, or are you gonna bite?" ~~~Mr. Blonde~~ |

Hi Lara, ewwww I remember that feeling too. This link http://www.coats.de/PDF/reg_zehenfusslingENG.pdf
shows you what I was looking for. I believe it would be best described that the flip flops would not rub in between your toes and irritate them. |

Similar to the pattern that was requested- I got an email from Patternworks with a picture of socks worn with flip flop sandals. (We called them thongs, but now it seems to mean semi-clothing beachwear.) The sock was the usual height but the toes were open with the big toe having its own opening, which would cushion between the toes where the strap is attached. (I learned if you tolerate flip flops long enough you will develop a callous between the toes and the flip flops feel natural.) I may be eccentric, OK, maybe outright strange, but I still like sandals in the winter. I would like to go a bit further with mitten socks with the big toe having its own "thumb" and all my toes warm. That would fit better than stretching out socks when wearing them with sandals. If I get some projects caught up with perhaps?

LOL I'm the one who was nearly crippled walking back from the shower! I'm just so sensitive. ;0) I thought I would knit a pair for my step D, but messed up at the toe divider so frogged it. I may try again.
